You bring out a deck of cards, with an elastic band around it, and with a small folded paper underneath that. Explain this to be your prediction. Open the box and take out all the cards. You show the deck on both sides, to clearly show this is a normal deck. Ribbon spread the cards on the table, face up, and let your audience acknowledge those are indeed 52 different cards! The intention is for one of the spectators to choose one card, but to avoid any forcing or influence on your behalf, you let somebody just name a card. You put this card face up on the table, away from the rest. As you put the rest of the cards back inside the box, you accentuate all handlings and attributes one more time: 1 deck of cards, 52 cards, 1 completely free selection and… 1 prediction. You remove the rubber band and very slowly unfold the little piece of paper. Everybody can see, very clearly, that the prediction written there in advance, perfectly matches the card selected by that spectator. Mentalism of the highest level!
