From one of the most comic pickpocket entertainers (and wouldn’t you know it, it’s our Belgian friend Pete Heylands) comes this ‘Vanishing Microphone’. Pete has used this little joke for years, as opening for his professional act.

You come on stage with a portable microphone in your hand, which doesn’t seem to work when you’re speaking in it. You look at your audience, a bit sheepish; take a paper bag en put the microphone in it. Then you crumple the bag to a little ball and just toss it over your shoulder, much to the delight of your audience. They have no idea where the microphone has gone. The perfect moment to get yourself a real (working) microphone.

This beautiful sponge microphone looks very real from a distance of just a few yards. It’s 10 inches long, and is supplied with a complete routine to make the microphone vanish and appear again. The perfect ‘gag’ for comedy- magicians, hosts, stand-up comedy artists etc.
