It's a stereotypical question, but doesn't it happen often, at impossible moments, when they ask you if you can conjure up a dove? From now on, you can arm yourself against that, and answer "yes", with this small, cute close-up trick.

You produce a small matchbox. On the front side is a magician's hat, and on the other side, a gift is depicted, nicely wrapped with a big ribbon. Push open the box and take a match out, which you will use as a magician's wand. Put the half-open matchbox upright on the table, tap it with your "wand" and close it. A white miniature dove appears on top of the box! Where did that come from? Turn the box around and show how the ribbon, around the gift depicted on the backside of the box is loose, and the gift box open. Your audience now has another mystery to solve!
