On a base which is about thirty centimetres off the ground (on castors) is a small cube, standing opposite a big mirror. Open out the cube completely until you form a cabinet of a reasonable size. Your assistant steps inside without any trepidation. Slowly but surely you now begin to fold up the cabinet until it’s shrunk back to being the small cube. Consternation, followed by a loud murmur of appreciation from the discerning audience; your assistant must be a true contortionist to survive in there! Your audience’s astonishment really goes off the scale when you now run three big swords through the cube for good measure. No way she can survive that, they think to themselves! And yet … take the swords out again and fold the cube back into the large, oblong cabinet. Your radiant assistant pops out and, what’s more, she’s hurriedly struggled into another outfit/(ensemble). And the mirror? Well, every fitting cubicle has one, doesn’t it…
A breathtaking routine which will hold your audience spellbound for minutes. ‘Origami’ consists of a base with detachable legs, a mirror and a cube which you can open out.
